The bulk of the collectionconsists of materials relating to the gay male portion of (1979), the firstcomprehensive survey of the homosexual community, which Young co-authored withwriter Karla Jay. The collection also includes materials relating to thearticle, "The Gay Report on Sexually Transmitted Diseases," published in the (1981),on which Young collaborated with Karla Jay, Don Barrett and William W.Darrow.
